A) Palmer P.R.I.D.E

Here at R.C Palmer, we believe that every student, no matter their background,
should feel connected and respected.

As Palmer Griffins, Palmer Pride (see acronym explanation below) has reminded us of the wonderful culture that exists at our school, which encourages students to not only excel in their field(s) but contribute as well. 

Palmer Pride has helped new generations of Griffins time and time again to not only find their footing but has noticeably enabled them to mature faster each year.

P - Positive attitude: Each setback and success is an opportunity to grow
R - Respect: Ourselves, our values, learning, and environment are sacred
I -Integrity: Responsibility sprouts maturity
D - Diversity: Differences are what are us stronger
E - Excellence: Live each day like it is the last

To note, with a rapid increase of student enrolment in recent years, this has never been more important. However, Palmer PRIDE is what reminds us that no matter the challenge, we are us, we are Palmer Griffins.
 

B) 2025-2026 FOCUS

This year, R.C Palmer plans to continue their commitment of enhancing student literacy across different subjects by encouraging the addition of inquiries.

This year, we will focus on the following:
- Embedding literacy strategies into subject specific instruction
- Emphasizing curiosity driven questioning
- Encouraging department processes, learning journeys, and inquires to be shared to foster better understanding and streamline cross-disciplinary collaborations.

Understand, literacy is not just English, it is foundational in almost every discipline and is what fosters student understanding of themselves and the World. Together, we can make an impact.
