At R.C Palmer, during the year of grade 8, both Incentive and regular students are expected to take the Humanities course.

In combination with English, Humanities exposes students to a diverse range of human experiences and perspectives, enabling them to both build the core competencies for later education as well as discover themselves as they make text-to-world connections.
 

Prerequisite: Grade 7 

Humanities 8, alongside English, enables students to build the communication, thinking, and socials competencies required for later education.

Students will explore a range of significant cultural, social, and political changes in history through text and examine the human dynamics that encouraged them.

Moreover, students will receive the opportunity to reinforce their geography skills and knowledge picked up in grade 7 through inquiry and class discussion.
